Unscripted: My Not-So-Straight Journey With Breaking Barriers

It’s that exciting time again – the launch of the next “Breaking Barriers” group coaching program for immigrant women leaders is here, and I want to share the journey that led us to this moment.

When I started my first program, I had this tiny group – just two clients. Back then, I thought, “Oh no, just two people?” But guess what? We formed a close-knit group, and the experience was incredibly enriching.

One client reported it as the best investment and continues to use the learning to advance his career.

Knowing the impact, I was eager to try it again. This time I put my heart and soul into a social media post, and… crickets. Total silence. Ouch!

I withdrew, wondering if it was even needed.

I tried again a few months later. I learned how naive I was to expect to enroll people with just ONE post. It was a tough pill to swallow, but I needed to learn that.

With some help and persistence, my last cohort was a success!

I wrapped up the program, witnessing how much these women grew in confidence, reduced stress, and increased their energy. They learned to push back. They don’t shy away from asking for what they want. They like themselves and show up so much more!

I was so happy and decided to offer it again next Spring.

I thought it was a no-brainer for people to want it.

Yet, despite the TWO posts I have on social media, no one is booking into my calendar.

I couldn’t believe it. I was so disappointed. (still naive 🥲)

Until now. As I’m writing this post and reflecting on my journey, I wonder – why is this program the “best-kept secret”?

Then, it dawned on me – the program IS the best-kept secret because I haven’t talked about it enough yet.

This time, I not only want to learn fast but also want to have fun in the process.

Therefore, I decided to play a new game called – “30 Experiments for Enrollment.”

It’s not just about getting people to sign up; it’s about trying out wild ideas, seeing what sticks, and having a blast along the way.

And every five experiments, I’m treating myself – maybe to a spa day or some yummy takeout. This blog post? Yep, it’s experiment number four!

Each experiment is a chance to learn and grow. I’ve been tweaking, adjusting, and learning – not just about the program, but about myself and what resonates with you, my audience. I’m excited for what’s next.

This isn’t just an invite to “Breaking Barriers” – it’s a call to action for your own growth journey.

If you are an immigrant women leader ready to embrace new challenges and grow with a community of inspiring leaders, reach out and let’s see how this program can be a part of your story.

Love,

Wen

P.S. If you know someone who can benefit from being a part of this program, please forward this email to them! 🥰
